Bartholomew County election officials said they will post the full text of three referendum questions on posters at the early-vote site, Gather Columbus (the former Texas Roadhouse on 25th Street), and at all vote centers on Election Day, according to WKKG.

Early voting at Gather Columbus begins on 2026-10-06. Officials said weekday early voting runs 8 a.m.–5 p.m. through 2026-11-02 and closes at noon that day; on Election Day, 2026-11-03, polls will be open 6 a.m.–6 p.m. WKKG also reported two ballot questions are state measures and one is a Bartholomew Consolidated Schools property-tax renewal.

WHY IT MATTERS

What changed and who it affects Bartholomew County election officials announced they will display the full text of three referendum questions on posters where voters enter the early-vote site and at vote centers on Election Day. Officials said they hope the posters will help voters see the exact wording before they reach a voting station. This affects anyone in Bartholomew County planning to vote early at Gather Columbus or in person on Nov. 3, 2026. How the change works in practice According to the report, the posters will be placed as voters head into the polls, making the complete ballot language visible before completing a ballot. Two of the questions are state-level measures; the third is a local Bartholomew Consolidated Schools property-tax renewal for safety and teacher funding. The county set weekday early-vote hours and a noon cutoff on Nov. 2, 2026, and published Election Day hours of 6 a.m.–6 p.m. What to watch next If you plan to vote, note the early-vote window (starts 2026-10-06 and runs through noon 2026-11-02) and Election Day (2026-11-03). Voters and observers can watch whether the posted text appears at all sites and whether county officials report any impact on line speed or voter questions after voting concludes.
