Two candidates are vying for the Hamilton County Council District 3 seat in the Nov. 3, 2026 general election: Democrat Doug May, a retired human services administrator, and Republican incumbent Mark Hall, a CEO and business owner who was elected to the council in 2022.
May described more than 30 years of experience overseeing public contracts and providing fiduciary review for service providers and said he is running to provide an independent voice and support responsible economic development. Hall described 35 years of running a sizable business and said his budgeting and finance experience make him suited to represent District 3.
