The City of Lebanon and Boone County Economic Development Corp. announced plans for an estimated $102.9 million speculative industrial park by Indianapolis-based Strategic Capital Partners. The proposed Lebanon Commerce Park would place four Class A industrial buildings totaling about 1.49 million square feet on 116 acres near State Road 39, Tyre Road and John Shaw Road. The developers say the space could support office, warehouse, light-manufacturing and distribution users. Construction is anticipated to begin in the third quarter of 2027 and proceed in phases. Because the project is speculative, tenants and resulting job counts have not been established.
Buc-ee’s has drawn the attention, but Johnson County’s development pipeline reaches well beyond a single travel center. A $200 million roofing plant in Franklin, a college-linked innovation district, senior housing in Whiteland and mixed-use plans in Bargersville point to several different sources of future jobs and commercial activity. They also sit at different stages: a zoning vote, a development agreement and a working factory are separate milestones.
