Alro Metals announced in its October newsletter (posted 10/30/2026) that it has opened a new 254,000‑square‑foot facility in Oviedo, Florida. According to the company, the facility expands Alro’s presence and capabilities in the Orlando market. The item appeared as part of the Alro Newsletter October 2026, which highlights company news and industry activity.
Alro Metals said it opened a new 254,000-square-foot facility in Oviedo, Florida, at 1897 West Chapman Road to expand its Orlando market presence and processing capacity. The company stated the original Orlando location (opened in 1982) will now focus on plate processing. Alro said the Oviedo site increases local inventory, offers expanded processing options (including tube laser and plate laser equipment), and stocks a broad range of metals and shapes to improve product availability and shipment speed.
Alro Steel stated that it has formed a strategic investment partnership with Lindsay Goldberg, which will become the majority investor. The Glick family will retain significant ownership and the company said the Alro Steel name, brand, daily operations and existing leadership will remain unchanged. Alro noted the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close by the end of October; J.P. Morgan served as Alro’s exclusive financial advisor.
