Evonik Corporation

Evonik to build GMP lipid-based drug manufacturing facility in Vancouver

Evonik is investing over 150 million CAD (93 million EUR) to build a new GMP facility for lipid-based drug delivery in Vancouver, Canada, supported by up to 68 million CAD (around 42 million EUR) from the Canadian federal government’s Strategic Response Fund. The site will expand Evonik’s LNP development and clinical drug product manufacturing capacity, more than tripling existing production capability. Evonik plans drug product production to begin at the end of 2029 and presented the investment at the University of British Columbia.
