Prysmian | Encore Wire said it will showcase its electrical expertise and wire-and-cable portfolio at the NECA 2026 Convention & Trade Show, October 4–7 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. The company invited attendees to visit booth #6118 to view labor-saving and safety-focused products and services, including Mega Coil®, PullPro®, Reel Payoff® Premium, CAROL® cord & low-volt electronics, AIRGUARD®, Lifeline® fire-resistive cable systems and industrial/data-center solutions.
Prysmian announced it broke ground on an $80 million expansion of its Lexington, South Carolina facility to increase manufacturing capacity for FlexRibbon® fiber optic cable. The company said Prysmian executives joined local officials for a groundbreaking ceremony and that the project is expected to create 130 new local jobs. Prysmian described this investment as part of broader plans across North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee to expand domestic fiber and optical cable manufacturing capacity and create approximately 600 U.S. jobs.
Prysmian announced that, in partnership with Rio Tinto, electrical cables produced with ELYSIS® aluminum have been contracted for installation at an Amazon data center near Columbus, Ohio. The company says this is the first known use of inert-anode-smelted, low-carbon aluminum in a data center. Prysmian states the cables are created and shipped from its Sedalia, Missouri factory, and that the ELYSIS® process produces oxygen rather than direct greenhouse gas emissions from aluminum smelting.
Prysmian announced it broke ground on a $1.02 billion expansion at its Claremont, North Carolina campus to more than double U.S. fiber optic production capacity. The company said the project will increase glass preform and fiber manufacturing, add a $48 million optical cable investment, and create 300 new jobs for the fiber facility plus 85 additional optical cable roles, totaling 385 planned positions. Construction is expected to take about 20 months, with the facility fully coming online in 2030.
