West Bend GAC Facility Wins Wisconsin AWWA Large Project Award
Strand Associates reports that the West Bend GAC Water Treatment Facility was awarded the 2026 American Water Works Association (AWWA) of Wisconsin Large Project of the Year Award. The project addressed PFAS contamination to protect the City of West Bend’s long-term water supply and selected a treatment approach with multi-decade implications. Strand Associates states the facility also received an ACEC National Recognition Award, an ACEC-WI Grand Award, and an ACEC-WI Best of State Award.
