Indianapolis-based OnBoard launches AI Assist to add conversational AI to its board-management platform
OnBoard announced on Sept. 30, 2026 the launch of AI Assist, a full‑context conversational AI built into its board-management software and available immediately to every OnBoard customer. The feature surfaces past discussions and decisions with cited answers while honoring existing access permissions and data protections.

OnBoard, based in Indianapolis, said Sept. 30, 2026 that AI Assist brings conversational AI into its board-management platform so directors, administrators and executives can ask plain-language questions, explore earlier discussions and review cited sources while preparing for meetings. The company said AI Assist operates within current access permissions and that customer data will not be used to train AI models. During beta testing, OnBoard said the tool helped boards surface issues ranging from significant risks in past materials to unresolved conditions tied to prior approvals.
OnBoard scheduled a live demonstration for Oct. 15, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. ET, with Tim Adair, chief product officer, and Michael Staden, senior director of product management, presenting and taking questions; registration was posted on the company website. OnBoard said it serves more than 7,000 organizations across 60 countries, including public companies, healthcare systems, universities, nonprofits and financial institutions.
