Nashville redevelopment commission may pledge up to $75,000 to unlock $750,000 OCRA stormwater grant
At its Sept. 14, 2026 meeting the Nashville Redevelopment Commission discussed potentially providing up to $75,000 as the 10% local match for a proposed $750,000 OCRA stormwater grant; no funds were approved and a formal request has not yet been made.

Commission members reviewed using redevelopment funds to provide the required 10% local match for an OCRA stormwater grant that would supply $750,000; the local match would be $75,000. No money was approved at the Sept. 14, 2026 meeting, and town officials said the Nashville Town Council must first approve moving forward with the grant application. The commission may be asked to provide a letter committing money if the grant is awarded; the actual $75,000 likely would not be needed immediately.
The commission also received an update on Nashville’s Unified Development Ordinance work — consultants are reviewing zoning parcel by parcel and a draft for residents is not expected until early 2027 — and issued positive recommendations on two riverfront liquor-license renewals, for Brozini’s Pizzeria and Artists Colony Restaurant (the latter reported about 35 employees). The commission plans to meet again in November and did not schedule an October meeting.
