WFYI reports that voters in Indiana’s 5th Congressional District will choose between Republican U.S. Rep. Victoria Spartz and Democrat state Sen. J.D. Ford in November 2026. The district northeast of Indianapolis includes Anderson, Carmel, Fishers, Kokomo, Marion, Muncie and Noblesville and has a population of more than 791,000.
WFYI’s Sept. 21, 2026 voter guide says Spartz, who has represented the district since 2021 and is seeking a fourth term, reported $1,327,227 as of June 30, 2026; Ford’s committee, Neighbors to Elect J.D. Ford, reported $582,086 as of that date. The guide notes Spartz’s two largest special‑interest donors are Indiana Spine Group and Goodman Campbell Brain and Spine, and cites the Cook Political Report rating the district as solidly Republican. It also reports a WFYI survey naming affordability, immigration and government reform as top voter issues in the district.
