According to a CAMINUS press release distributed via PR Newswire on 2026-10-05, CAMINUS announced a contract manufacturing agreement with Amprius Technologies (NYSE: AMPX) to manufacture Amprius-designed pouch cells at CAMINUS’s 92,000-square-foot (and expanding) Indianapolis facility. The agreement covers work from partial assembly of Amprius-supplied components through full cell production, and qualification builds are already in progress.
CAMINUS said its Indianapolis site provides slurry mixing, high-quality electrode coating, automated cell assembly and formation. The company identified contract manufacturing as one of its two business lines alongside making its own cells and packs, and noted it supplies NDAA Section 842-conforming cells for defense, uncrewed systems and industrial customers. CAMINUS and Amprius executives said the partnership supports domestic manufacturing and near-immediate capacity; volume production is planned for the first quarter of 2027.
