WKKG reported organizers said the concert “Evening with the Music of Harry Chapin, featuring Dale Sechrest and Friends” at YES Cinema in Columbus, originally scheduled for 2026-10-28, has been postponed due to a health emergency involving a band member.

Organizers told WKKG that ticket buyers can request refunds, and that tickets already purchased will be honored at the rescheduled show once a new date is announced. For more information, the organizers listed Lincoln-Central Neighborhood Family Center at 812-379-1630 and email [email protected].

WHY IT MATTERS

A postponement means the scheduled performance will not occur on the advertised date and ticket holders must wait for the organizer’s next steps. The organizers’ announcement establishes three concrete points ticket buyers and local supporters should track: that the Oct. 28 performance is delayed, that a replacement date has not yet been set, and that options exist now — either a refund request or holding tickets for the future date. For residents planning to attend, this avoids assuming the event still happens on Oct. 28; for the venue and local promoters, it signals an operational change they must manage (ticketing, communications and any venue scheduling). The most useful immediate actions are to contact the Lincoln-Central Neighborhood Family Center at 812-379-1630 or via the provided email for refund or ticket-holding instructions, and to watch for a formal rescheduled date from the organizers. The organizer-provided contacts are the source-supported channels for the next update.
