Centene’s release characterizes Marathon as an advanced primary care provider offering in-person, nearsite and virtual services including lab testing, chronic condition support, mental health services and navigation. Centene reported that Marathon’s model has shown, among engaged members, 15% fewer emergency-room visits and 41% fewer inpatient admissions. The release also says members will receive information about available services and how to access care prior to the start of the 2027 plan year.
