On Aug. 31, 2026 the Indy Chamber Foundation said Lilly Endowment provided a $2.25 million grant to advance its Life in Indy regional storytelling platform. The funding is intended to refresh and scale the platform’s digital presence, deepen connections with local storytellers and strengthen talent-attraction initiatives while expanding research capacity to improve perceptions of the region.

Life in Indy, launched in 2020, has published more than 200 stories and draws more than 30,000 monthly visitors. The platform reports that over 4,000 prospective residents have requested additional connections and that more than 650 employer partners have used Life in Indy content in recruitment and onboarding.
