Indiana says licensing waits halved; governor touts faster entry to jobs for Hoosiers

The administration reported large declines in specific categories: auctioneer waits fell from about 16 days to under one day; certified public accountant licensing moved from more than 15 days to just over three days; funeral director processing dropped from nearly 51 days to 2.5 days. Physician licensing fell from nearly 7.5 days to under one day, osteopathic physician waits declined from about 6.7 to 1.5 days, and nursing categories also showed shorter averages (registered nurses about 5.8 to 3.4 days; compact LPNs nearly 10 to about four days; temporary RN permits from about 3.3 to 2.4 days).
