Fishers’ Spokenote adds former OneCause CEO Steve Johns as executive adviser to advance scaling
Fishers-based Spokenote appointed Steve Johns, former OneCause CEO, as executive adviser to its board to help strengthen operations and guide long-term growth. Founder John Wechsler will shift more focus to strategic partnerships, market expansion, enterprise customers and innovation while working with Johns on execution.
Spokenote named Steve Johns — who led Carmel-based OneCause before its 2025 acquisition and serves as board chair of Indianapolis-based Boardable — as executive adviser to its board. The company said Johns will work with founder John Wechsler and the board to bolster operations and steer long-term growth.
Spokenote’s platform creates personalized video messages for nonprofits, colleges, associations and consumer brands and the company cites clients including the Indiana Pacers, Anheuser-Busch and Berkshire Hathaway. As part of the growth plan, Wechsler will concentrate on strategic partnerships, market expansion, enterprise customer relationships and long-term innovation while Johns focuses on execution.
