Carmel-based MBX Biosciences names Jeff Held as chief legal officer
MBX Biosciences announced Sept. 8, 2026 that Jeff Held, J.D., has been appointed Chief Legal Officer. The company also disclosed an inducement equity package that includes 89,250 stock options and 19,125 restricted stock units with multi-year vesting schedules.
MBX said Held brings over 30 years of legal, compliance and executive experience in biotechnology and healthcare. His recent role was Chief Legal Officer at Zenas BioPharma; earlier, as Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Deciphera Pharmaceuticals he helped lead more than $1 billion in equity financings and co-led Deciphera’s $2.4 billion sale to Ono Pharmaceutical.
MBX reported that, in connection with his appointment, the board approved an inducement award on Sept. 1, 2026 under Nasdaq Listing Rule 5635(c)(4). The grant comprises non-qualified options for 89,250 shares at an exercise price of $60.93 (Nasdaq close on Sept. 1, 2026) with a ten-year term and four-year vesting, plus 19,125 RSUs that vest 25% per year over four years.
