MLS keeps Indianapolis on expansion shortlist as city leaders pursue ownership and stadium talks

Garber noted Mayor Joe Hogsett met with league officials and described state and city leaders as “very bullish” about landing a franchise.
Garber said key elements for success include a strong stadium project, community and political support, and a committed ownership group; he named former Charlotte FC/New York City FC executive Tom Glick as involved in the effort. The league has not set a timetable and will continue working with Indianapolis officials as those pieces are developed.
