Bloomington Transit pauses West Third Green Line plan, shifts to smaller upgrades while seeking federal funding

BT planning manager Shelley Strimaitis told staff the east side near College Mall meets density requirements but much of West Third — including the developing Hopewell area — does not, so the Green Line is on hold. BT plans incremental work such as higher-amenity bus stops and traffic-signal adjustments to prioritize buses, with signal-priority changes targeted within the next two years to improve on-time performance.
