Calumet in Indianapolis ups ABL to $600M, secures final $34M DOE draw; MaxSAF remaining capital cut to $137M
Calumet Inc. announced on Sept. 14, 2026 that it raised commitments under its senior secured asset-based revolving credit facility to $600 million and that Montana Renewables received a final $34 million draw under an amended DOE loan guarantee; the company says remaining MaxSAF expansion capital is $137 million.
Calumet, Inc., identified in the release as headquartered in Indianapolis, said on Sept. 14, 2026 that it amended its asset-based revolving credit (ABL) facility to increase total commitments to $600 million, an increase of $100 million. The ABL remains subject to borrowing-base limitations, keeps a January 2031 maturity date, and is led by Bank of America as agent for a lender group.
Separately, Calumet said Montana Renewables, an unrestricted subsidiary, received the final $34 million draw under an amended Loan Guarantee Agreement with the U.S. Department of Energy. The company also reported that remaining project capital for its MaxSAF expansion was reduced to $137 million from the $1.2 billion previously contemplated, citing repurposing of equipment from an adjacent facility.
