Colts, Sinclair Recreation hold 18th annual Playground Build at Rousseau McClellan School 91
More than 150 volunteers — including Indianapolis Colts players, cheerleaders and staff — worked with Sinclair Recreation, Indianapolis Public Schools and multiple partners to construct a new, accessible playground at Rousseau McClellan School 91 in Midtown Indianapolis as part of the Colts’ 18th annual Playground Build.
The Colts and Sinclair Recreation led the 18th annual Playground Build at Rousseau McClellan School 91 in Midtown Indianapolis, with more than 150 volunteers from the Colts organization, Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) and partners including AES Indiana, Ingredion Inc., Legends Global Merchandise, Lucas Oil Products, Purdue University, Shiel Sexton and SRM Concrete. The project was supported in part by Meijer and HotBox Pizza.
Colts players, cheerleaders and staff participated on-site; safety and accessibility were prioritized, including a new swing set and a walkway from the blacktop to the track area. Colts safety Cam Bynum and principal Kathy Lause are quoted about the personal and community importance of the build, and Sinclair Recreation said the expanded partnership enabled more equipment and partner participation.
