Colts announce high school girls flag postseason schedules for Sept. 30–Oct. 17, 2026
The Indianapolis Colts released postseason brackets and schedules for the second high school girls flag football season, with Sectionals starting Sept. 30, Regionals on Oct. 10 and State Finals set for Oct. 17 at Grand Park. The Colts said the second high school girls flag football postseason will begin Sept. 30, 2026, with 91 teams competing in Sectional tournaments hosted at 16 high schools. Sectional winners advance to State Regionals on Oct. 10 at Evansville FJ Reitz, Huntington North, Michigan City and Warren Central; Regional winners move on to the State Finals at Grand Park Sports Campus in Westfield on Oct. 17. The team announced that tournament brackets, game schedules and tickets (available beginning Oct. 13) are posted at Colts.com/GirlsFlag.
The announcement noted the program’s growth: Fall 2026 was the second season with 108 teams from more than 50 communities and more than 2,700 girls participating. The Colts said they launched the Colts Girls High School Flag League in 2023 with eight teams, invested $1 million to recruit and offset startup costs, and that the IHSAA may vote on sport sanctioning as early as May 2027.
