Colts sign CB Johnathan Edwards to practice squad, release CB Robert (Rob) Carter Jr.

The Indianapolis Colts announced on 2026-09-15 that they signed cornerback Johnathan Edwards (6-1, 201) to the practice squad. Edwards spent Week 1 on the Colts' active roster but did not play. As a rookie in 2025 he appeared in 14 games (five starts) and recorded 24 tackles (18 solo), three passes defensed and two special teams stops.
