Kori Brulport launched Zoomie Express, a dog-adventure bus that began serving Hamilton County on 2026-05-04. The service makes home pickups three days a week and takes dogs to a Cicero farm for supervised off‑leash play; rides cost $65 for the first dog and $50 per additional dog, Current Publishing reported.

Hamilton County held a ribbon-cutting on Sept. 14, 2026, for the new grade-separated interchange at 146th Street and Allisonville Road, which has been open to traffic for several months. County officials also awarded a $39.9 million contract to Carmel-based Gradex to build the next grade-separated interchange at 146th and Hazel Dell Parkway, with work set to begin in fall 2026 and continue into 2029.

On Sept. 14, 2026, the Westfield City Council voted 6-1 to reduce the speed limit on Tomlinson Road from 40 mph to 30 mph after months of advocacy from the parents of a child killed in a June crash and other residents. City engineers had recommended 35 mph, but the council amended the ordinance to 30 mph.
