Beacon Health System hospitals in northern Indiana win AHA awards while treating 11,000+ cardiac patients annually
Beacon Health System announced on 2026-10-07 that its cardiovascular teams care for more than 11,000 heart and vascular patients each year across northern Indiana and southwest Michigan, and that Beacon Kalamazoo, Elkhart General Hospital and Memorial Hospital of South Bend received American Heart Association Get With The Guidelines achievement awards.

Beacon Health System announced in a company news release dated 2026-10-07 that its cardiovascular specialists care for more than 11,000 heart and vascular patients annually across northern Indiana and southwest Michigan. The release said Beacon Kalamazoo, Elkhart General Hospital and Memorial Hospital of South Bend received American Heart Association Get With The Guidelines® achievement awards, and that Elkhart General also received the AHA Commitment to Quality Award.
The company said it participates in the AHA’s Get With The Guidelines programs and uses research‑based protocols. Beacon listed services provided by its heart teams, including preventive screenings, cardiac rehabilitation, advanced structural heart procedures, emergency heart attack treatment and complex cardiovascular surgery. The release also named several patients whose care the system said illustrates the teams’ work.
