Noblesville leaders spotlight SMC’s 950+ jobs, $200M investment and Toyota Automated Logistics’ $165M campus

At his Sept. 10, 2026 State of the City address, Noblesville Mayor Chris Jensen brought in executives from SMC Corp. of America and Toyota Automated Logistics to emphasize ongoing Japanese investment in the city, according to a Current Publishing report.

The report says SMC Corp. of America — the U.S. subsidiary of Tokyo‑based SMC Corp. — is the largest private‑sector employer in Noblesville, employing more than 950 full‑time workers and having invested $200 million since relocating its headquarters and building a facility in 2009. SMC’s U.S. president, Kelley Stacy, told the mayor that the company values local infrastructure, land for expansion and partnerships with city leaders, and that it participates in local schools with internships and tours.
