Carmel-based Pittman Partners is partnering with Indianapolis-based Millstone Ventures on Venture at Meridian Trails, a proposed 154-unit luxury apartment community on six acres at the southwest corner of 106th and Illinois streets. The developers are asking the City of Carmel to approve a planned unit development so site-specific standards can govern the project. Planned amenities listed in the proposal include a fitness center, pool, dog spa and a golf simulator.
Steve Pittman said earlier proposals for the parcel ranged from a three-story office building to an age-restricted apartment community, but he told Current in Carmel that age-restricted units “was not leasing well” and that many prospective tenants prefer mixed-age communities. The new submission reduces the project footprint by 65,000 square feet and contains 15 fewer units than the prior plan; Carmel’s Plan Commission will review the PUD before it goes to the City Council for a vote.
