Hamilton County to begin Hazel Dell Parkway bridge demolition Sept. 28; completion due Oct. 30
Milestone Contractors will start demolishing the flood-damaged Hazel Dell Parkway bridge just south of 106th Street on Monday, Sept. 28, 2026, with demolition required to finish by Oct. 30, 2026. Crews are expected to work 10-hour days, six days a week while county crews restore slopes and continue design of a permanent replacement.
Milestone Contractors will begin demolition of the Hazel Dell Parkway bridge just south of 106th Street on Monday, Sept. 28, 2026, according to Hamilton County. The structure was destroyed during August’s historic flooding.
Representatives from Hamilton County, the City of Carmel, Carmel Utilities, Martin Marietta and Milestone met on site for a preconstruction conference. Milestone began moving equipment to the site on Friday, Sept. 25, 2026.
