Hamilton County schedules Sept. 28 demolition of Hazel Dell Parkway bridge; Milestone to lead work
Hamilton County announced on Sept. 24, 2026 that crews will begin demolishing the Hazel Dell Parkway bridge just south of 106th Street, which was destroyed in August’s flooding. The county said Milestone Contractors would move equipment the following Friday and that demolition is scheduled to start Monday, Sept. 28, 2026.

Hamilton County issued a Sept. 24, 2026 notice saying crews will begin demolishing the Hazel Dell Parkway bridge just south of 106th Street. County, City of Carmel, Carmel Utilities, Martin Marietta and Milestone Contractors held a preconstruction conference Sept. 24; the county said Milestone would begin moving equipment the following Friday and demolition was scheduled to start Monday, Sept. 28, 2026.
The county said crews are expected to work 10-hour days, six days a week, and that the demolition contract requires completion by Oct. 30, 2026. County Highway Director Brad Davis said crews will also restore slopes along the banks, and that officials are continuing design work for a permanent replacement bridge.
