The 42nd Circle City Classic, organized by the Indiana Black Expo with Circle City Broadcasting as a partner, will replace college matchups with boys varsity football and girls flag football at Lucas Oil Stadium and emphasize fundraising for youth scholarships. Organizers say the Classic has awarded more than $5 million in scholarships since 1984.

On 2026-09-22 the Indianapolis Colts named McCutcheon High School head coach Michael Fenters the Colts/NFL Coach of the Week for Week 5 after the Mavericks’ 21-0 win over West Lafayette Harrison — McCutcheon’s first win over Harrison since 2017 and its second straight shutout.

Indiana aims to scale high-school cybersecurity pathway to build workforce after Braun visit to Bloomfield

Gov. Mike Braun and Education Secretary Katie Jenner visited Bloomfield Middle and High School to showcase Indiana’s Cybersecurity Partnership, launched in May, which connects high schools, colleges, the Indiana National Guard and employers and aims to expand from about 69 schools to 200 schools over three years.
